SUNDAY APRIL 6 8:30AM -1:00PM
Please come out to help us beautify our club for the upcoming season. We will need help with cleaning the roof, gutters, the shed; pressure washing deck and outside walls before we pain, patching up the lawn and planting a hedge around the new deck.
Please be advised the club currently has some deck construction continuing thru to the end of March. We are striving to complete all of the new club upgrades before May. These improvements include the new deck, interior & exterior clubhouse improvements, ground improvements and security.
We will also be resurfacing court 1&2; ultimately those courts will be closed for play for approximately 48hrs. Please be patient, as there is some extra noise and material in the clubs vicinity.
We will have some volunteer work days in April and would appreciate a large volunteer workforce so we can keep our costs of improvements to a minimum and complete all work in a timely manner .The work will include a short 4 hr volunteer shift (drinks & snacks supplied).
On a negative side, it has come to our attention that a current member of our club berated our contractors on-site, using abusive language and threatening behaviour. We hope this was an isolated incident, but ultimately it reflects poorly on our club and its values. In light of this incident, we will be instituting a “code of conduct” policy for all club members. The COC will have to be signed by all members when renewing your club membership.
Thank you again and if you have any questions, please reach out to us by email and we will work to answer all of your questions.
Sincerely
WRTC President & Executive
A reminder to everyone that please ensure that the courts and the clubhouse are locked up after use, especially if you’re the last to leave at night.
Last night, the courts and clubhouse were left open, with the main key left outside. This poses a security risk for all of us.
And night play under the lights must stop and lights be turned off no later than 10:00 pm.
Let’s work together to keep our facility safe and secure. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
